David joined OMERS Growth Equity in 2019. In his role as Associate Director, he supports the origination, evaluation and execution of investment opportunities, along with asset management activities for existing investments.
Prior to joining OMERS, David was an Associate with the Thematic Investing team at CPP Investments, where he covered primarily software, industrial, and consumer discretionary public and private equities.
David earned his Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) from the Schulich School of Business at York University. He is a CFA charterholder.
In his spare time, David enjoys watching soccer and basketball, and reading history books.
David grew up in Toronto, Ontario. His favourite books are Why Nations Fail by Daron Acemoglu and James A. Robinson and Guns, Germs, and Steel by Jared Diamond. He likes to compare the two as they contrast in philosophy and world view. David is passionate about senior digital literacy and founded a non-profit organization called TechServeTO to help seniors connect during the pandemic and beyond. If he wasn’t an investor, David would be a meteorologist. Meteorology is something he’s always been interested in and has even considered taking night courses on the subject.
