Biography
Teresa leads healthcare investing for OMERS Growth Equity across North America. Teresa serves as a Board Director or Observer for Evidation, Aledade and CEDA and also led the investment in Innovaccer. Teresa initially joined OMERS Private Equity in June 2007 and was previously involved with several prior investments including Logibec, Marketwired and Nordco, before joining OMERS Growth Equity in September 2019.
Before OMERS Private Equity, Teresa was with KPMG Corporate Finance, involved in acquisition, divestiture and financing mandates across various industry sectors. Earlier, she worked in the financial institution's assurance practices of KPMG, both in Toronto and in London, U.K.
Teresa has a Bachelor of Commerce from University of Toronto and is a Chartered Business Valuator and a CPA.
Teresa grew up in Toronto, Ontario (where she gained an appreciation for the city lights) and Edmonton, Alberta (where she gained an appreciation for the northern lights). Her favourite book is Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen. Outside of work you’ll find her hanging out with her three kids, trying new foods, or with a paint brush/set of garden clippers in hand. Teresa is passionate about Autism awareness, as it directly affects her family and hopes through research we can better understand the broad spectrum of ways it can present, so families get the support they need.
